Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) is a high-throughput DNA sequencing technology that enables the rapid analysis of genetic material by sequencing millions of DNA fragments simultaneously. Unlike traditional Sanger sequencing, NGS provides faster, more accurate, and cost-effective sequencing of entire genomes, exomes, or targeted regions of DNA.
This test is run using a cheek swab DNA sample.
