Customer Service Representative

US BioTek, a growing laboratory in Shoreline with a wonderful group of employees, has an immediate full-time opportunity to join our Customer Services team! The successful candidate will be detail oriented with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

 

Primary Duties include:

• Assisting clients and vendors with inquiries, orders, or questions over the phone, in person, and via e-mail
• Answering multi-line phones, providing friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in high-pressure scenarios
• Managing inbox to ensure that emails have been properly and timely addressed in an organized manner
• Handling customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits: following up to ensure resolution
• Identifying and assessing customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction in accordance with Company policies and procedures
• Opening, sorting and distributing incoming correspondence and packages
• Running occasional errands to post office and various other local vendors
• Assisting the team occasionally with shipping and packing of kits, as needed
• Maintain office supplies for various departments
• Other office administrative tasks

 

Qualifications:

• Effective and efficient phone handling skills and active listening
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Excellent customer focus, interpersonal and written/verbal English communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and typing skills
• Customer service call center work experience preferred

 

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear.
• The employee must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

 

Hourly Rate: $20 - $23, DOE
