Our convenient At-Home COVID-19 Test utilizes a self-collected saliva sample to detect an active infection of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Who Should Get Tested?

Consider COVID-19 testing if any of the following scenarios apply to you:

Planned visitation with loved ones
Upcoming travel
Recent attendance at a large public gathering or close proximity to many people
Going back to school or work
Suspected exposure to COVID-19:
- Living or working in a place where people reside, meet, or gather in close proximity (office buildings, schools, healthcare facilities, etc.)
- Close contact (within 6 ft) with someone who is sick or diagnosed with COVID-19
Experiencing mild symptoms including:
- A fever between 100.4 degrees F and 102 degrees
- Flu-like symptoms (chills, runny or stuffy nose, whole body aches, a headache, and/or feeling tired)
- A new loss of taste or smell
- A new or worsening cough or sore throat
- Shortness of breath that is not limiting the ability to speak

Please note, patients must be at least 18 years of age to take this test.

Do NOT take this test if you have severe symptoms or are experiencing a medical emergency. Instead, call 911 and seek medical attention right away.

How it Works

Collecting Your Sample

Collect your saliva sample using the provided kit and collection instructions. The process consists of filling a vial with your saliva by spitting into a funnel. It is simple, non-invasive, and can be done in less than 10 minutes.

Results

Results available in 24 hours of the lab receiving your sample.

You will be notified via email that results are ready and available in the secure portal. An official lab report will be available for you to serve as proof of your result.

If a test concludes with a positive result, the patient will receive a call. It is mandatory for US BioTek to report the positive result to the Public Health authorities.

If you receive a positive result, contact your primary care provider immediately for medical guidance.

What does this test measure?

This test detects the presence or absence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus using a saliva sample. This is not an antibody test.

How quickly will I get my test and results?

Once your order is complete, your package will be shipped to you via 2-day shipping (overnight shipping available for an additional fee). Kits that are ordered Friday through Sunday will be shipped the following business day.

To ensure you get your results in time, we encourage you to order your kit as early as possible.

In order to get your sample to our lab as quickly as possible, we include a prepaid FedEx overnight shipping label. Results are typically available within 24 hours after the lab receives the sample. You will receive an email when your results are available to view on our secure patient portal. Positive results will additionally receive a phone call.

Can I use my test results for travel purposes?

This is an RT-PCR/NAAT test performed by a CLIA-certified lab, which meets the requirements for many travel destinations. We will provide you with a shareable pdf with your results.

We recommend that you confirm the requirements with your destination's government or through your airline and plan your testing accordingly.

This test does not meet the current travel requirement for the State of Hawaii.

How do I collect my sample?

The At-Home COVID-19 Test contains everything you need to collect your sample from home. Detailed instructions can be found here. Generally, it takes a few minutes to collect your sample. All necessary shipping supplies are included.

Is this test covered by insurance?

US BioTek is unable to bill your insurance; however, the test may be eligible for reimbursement. We can provide you with a superbill that can be submitted to your insurance provider. Check with your carrier to confirm eligibility.

Is this test available in all 50 states?

This test is available in 47 states. It is not available in the states of New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island.

What is the return policy for these tests?

If your order has not shipped from our facility, you are eligible for a full refund. Contact our customer care team at 1.800.456.4325 to request this option.
Once shipped, COVID-19 tests cannot be refunded.
